action taken by the VBA. The practitioner is not authorised to carry out building

Suspension Reason 1
|
The practitioner’s registration has been suspended for failure to pay annual fee
and /or provide proof of required insurance on the anniversary of their registration.
The practitioner is not authorised to carry out building work as a registered practitioner.

Suspension Reason 2
|
The practitioner’s registration has been immediately suspended OR the practitioner’s
registration was suspended as an outcome of disciplinary action taken by the VBA.
The practitioner is not authorised to carry out building work as a registered practitioner.
Immediate suspension can occur prior to disciplinary action for the following reasons:
- it is in the interests of the public
- the practitioner ceased to be covered by the required insurance
- the practitioner is an officer of a company subject to external administration
- the corporate practitioner has no nominee director

Cancelled
|
|
The VBA has cancelled the practitioner’s registration. The practitioner is not authorised
to carry out building work as a registered practitioner. Full details of the cancellation

|
The practitioner has chosen to surrender their registration. The practitioner is
not authorised to carry out building work as a registered practitioner.
